Week 3 Picks - College Football 2024

Hey, I'm back! Actually staying consistent this year, it's a miracle. We did a lot better last week, but I'm still not satisfied. We also won our Super Dog pick, so I'm gonna start tracking that throughout the season. The rules of super dog is the pick has to be +250 or above. For the other picks, most of them will be in the +/- 100 range. I don't want a bunch of -300 picks.

With that said, let's get into these picks. I'm feeling like another good week is in the works.

Saturday, September 14th

LSU @ South Carolina - South Carolina +7.5 (-146)

I was not as impressed as others in the Tigers week one performance against USC. I thought both teams were sloppy on defense and the offense was just average. South Carolina demolished a good Kentucky team and beat a good Old Dominion squad. They have home field advantage. Don't be surprised if they win this one outright.

Memphis @ Florida State - Memphis +7.5 (-139)

Florida State is in freefall. That locker room isn't gonna pull together. Too many transfers and new faces for that to happen. Memphis is a good team, another upset to look out for.

Cincinnati @ Miami OH - Cincinnati ML (-155)

Cincinnati should have won last week against Pitt. They had a meltdown to end that game, but overall I still think they're a good squad. They should be able to easily handle this Miami squad.

Boston College @ Missouri - Missouri -13.5 (-133)

I don't have much to say on this one. Boston College is getting wayyyy too much credit for beating Florida State. This one is gonna get ugly.

Washington State @ Washington - Washington State ML (+185)

I'll throw this one in as something you can buy down a little. I really believe in this Washington State squad. Washington lost a lot from last year including their head coach. Washington State will win the Apple Cup and be the Alabama of the new Pac-12

Virginia Tech @ Old Dominion - Old Dominion +17.5 (-122)

I like this Old Dominion squad. Virginia Tech has burned me twice this season. I was rooting for them against Vandy and cheering for Marshall last week. Both times they proved me wrong. Well, three times a charm. Old Dominion covers this one.

Ole Miss @ Wake Forest - Ole Miss -20.5 (-121)

Man Lane Kiffin has his boys playing. The land sharks are gonna roll Wake Forest.

Georgia @ Kentucky - Georgia -20.5 (-138)

This line keeps moving higher and higher. Georgia is gonna win this one big. They are in a different league than anyone but Texas and Ohio State this year.

San Diego State @ Cal - Cal -16.5 (-129)

Cal surprised me last week against Auburn. They have a chance to really compete in the ACC this year (as weird as that sounds). Cal covers.

Indiana @ UCLA - Indiana ML (-180)

This is a bit of a homer pick. I don't know much about UCLA but Indiana seems much improved under Curt Cignetti. Indiana wins it at the Rose Bowl.

Tulane @ Oklahoma - Tulane ML (+425)

Oklahoma seems shaky and I'm not a big believer in Vennibles. I think he's on his way out soon. Tulane with a sneaky upset.
