Week 7 Picks - College Football

Last week was the week of the upset. But even in a week full of upsets we went positive with out picks. I'm looking to bounce back in a week with a ton of great games.

Saturday, October 12th

Washington @ Iowa - Under 42.5 (-108)

Usually I don't touch over/under but this one is just too tempting. Iowa is an all defense team, and Washington is no slouch on defense either. Iowa is the favorite, and if they're gonna pull it off the score is gonna have to look close to 14-10.

Georgia Tech @ North Carolina - Georgia Tech -2.5 (-154)

The yellow jackets have been one of the most surprising teams this season, and they're going up against one of the most disappointing teams this season. We can call it the surprise bowl. Regardless, this could easily be a trap game for Georgia Tech looking ahead to Notre Dame this week. But even with that considered I still have no faith in North Carolina.

Texas vs Oklahoma - Texas -13.5 (-138)

Red river is always close, but not this year. Oklahoma seems to be seriously regressing as a program while Texas looks like one of the best teams in the country. With Ewers back, Texas blows out Oklahoma.

Penn State @ USC - Penn State ML (-175)

Penn State has to travel a long way in this one to take on a reeling USC team. They've started their first season in the Big Ten 0-2, and I think tomorrow makes that 0-3. Welcome to the Big Ten southern Cal

Arizona @ BYU - BYU ML (-155)

BYU has been on a tear recently and looks to be one of the best teams in the Big 12. Arizona is coming off a big win against a beat up Utah team. I like BYU in this one.

Iowa State @ West Virginia - Iowa State ML (-148)

Many are calling this a trap game for Iowa State and it looks like Vegas agrees with them. But I have no doubt they'll pull this one out.

Syracuse @ NC State - Syracuse ML (-142)

NC State has got to be one of the worst power 4 teams in the sport this year. I'm not a huge fan of Syracuse but I think they can pull out an ACC win here.

Minnesota @ UCLA - Minnesota ML (-175)

Does Minnesota come out flat after their huge upset of USC? This is a late game on the west coast, but I think they keep it going this week. UCLA is a broken squad, and although I think it's a close game, Minnesota will make the trip back home with a W.

Cal @ Pitt - Pitt ML (-166)

Seems like I'm taking a lot of close ML favorites this week, but that just speaks to the number of great games in week 7. I've been impressed with Cal at times and very disappointed with them at other times. They showed a lot of fight last week against Miami before melting down to end the game. I think the hangover of that loss carries into this week and they fall to a good Pitt squad.

Ohio State @ Oregon - Oregon (+130)

I really don't like picking against Ohio State, but with the number 2 and 3 teams playing this week I have to include this game in my picks. Under the lights in Autzen for the likely regular season big ten crown, how can you bet against Oregon? Ohio State has looked pretty tame at quarterback compared to their years with Justin Fields and CJ Stroud. Expect a lot of points in this matchup.

Vanderbilt @ Kentucky - Vanderbilt ML (+380)

There aren't a whole lot of options this week for a super dog pick. Vanderbilt is gonna have a hard time pulling it off against Kentucky but it's possible. If they can score 2-3 touchdowns I think they'll win. Can they keep that magic on offense from last week? I guess we'll see.
